SUMMARY: Manages / Repairs / Maintains / all building, and equipment needs by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•    Internal and external Project Manager, coordinating installations and repairs conducted by outside vendors.
•    Monitors and examines parts, machinery, equipment including forklifts and delivery truck on a daily basis as part of preventative maintenance program.
•    Performs "Lockout" and "Tagout" duties before examining and/or repairing parts, machines, and equipment to prevent harm to self and others.
•    Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective/malfunctioning parts.
•    Modifies, replaces, installs, and/or constructs machines and equipment as required to assure manufacture specifications and safe operation is maintained.
•    Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
•    Diagnosis and replaces faulty mechanical. hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components of machines and equipment.
•    Recommends processes/equipment/parts necessary to correct/repair defective/malfunctioning equipment. 
•    Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts in accordance with maintenance/repair tickets.
•    Observes and follows Company, State and Federal Regulatory Requirements.
•    Monitors facility/equipment to assure compliance with Local/State/Federal Regulatory Requirements are maintained.
•    Performs cleanup of any chemicals/liquids/materials as necessary.
•    Operates metalworking tools, including welding equipment to make and/or repair parts.
•    Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
•    Operates Forklift  
•    Tracks and documents maintenance/repairs in the JobBOSS Maintenance Tool/Equipment Software.
•    Maintains good housekeeping practices in assigned work area.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED); and trade school degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively troubleshoot problems, present and write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees

MECHANICAL SKILLS:
Ability to troubleshoot equipment or the building issues to be able to make suggestions in correcting the problem.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general computer skills and knowledge as well as the ability to use Job Boss, UniPoint, Excel and Word programs.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to act decisively, grasp concepts easily, work under pressure; logical and systematic, motivate others; ability to negotiate, be detail oriented, excellent time management skills,

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Knowledge and/or skills in electrical, electronic, pneumatics/hydraulics, welding, automotive, electromechanical and mechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair techniques and procedures, the proper use of tools and equipment used in repair and maintenance, and safety precautions of the trade preferred.  Knowledge of standard industrial safety procedures, including applicable regulatory requirements preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects of a moderate to heavy weight with the appropriate equipment as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works on or near moving mechanical parts, high pressures, high temperatures, in confined spaces and the possibility of electrical shock on a daily basis. The noise level in the working environment is usually moderate to high.
