We're hiring a Patient Services Representative for one of our healthcare partners in Edmond, Oklahoma. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on patient interaction, can manage phones and scheduling with ease, and takes pride in keeping a busy medical office running smoothly.

Position Details:

Reports to: Front Office Supervisor
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma (onsite)
Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.

What You'll Do:

As a Patient Services Representative, you'll ensure every patient has a smooth and welcoming experience, whether they're calling in or walking through the door.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally
  • Register new patients and update records for returning patients in the EMR system
  • Verify insurance and obtain consent forms and signatures
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
  • Answer and route incoming calls and voicemails promptly
  • Schedule provider, lab, and imaging appointments accurately
  • Prepare/send new patient packets and manage follow-up letters for no-shows
  • Balance the daily cash drawer per practice protocol
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Support clinical and administrative staff with additional front office duties

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of customer service experience (medical office preferred)
  • Strong computer proficiency; EMR/Practice Management experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Experience with a multi-line phone system
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly valued

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Fast-paced medical office with frequent patient interaction
  • Daily sitting, standing, walking, and bending; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Extended use of computer and phone systems
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards
