SUMMARY: Ensure the accuracy of all items in the warehouse by verifying descriptions, expiration dates, UPC, and inventory. To slot the warehouse in an organized and logical selection pattern for maximum production. NOTE: THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION.

Hourly rate starting at $16.00 per hour. Shift includes weekends, 10:00PM-6:30AM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual must have the ability to perform the responsibilities listed below. The list is not all inclusive of duties that may be requested by the department head or a member of upper management but are intended for an understanding of the purpose of the position. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.

  1. Research warehouse scratches and perform slot checks for buyers.
  2. Pull close dated dairy and run the "10 and Under" report.
  3. Set up new items and adjust inventory from "10 and Under".
  4. Handle paperwork for loading food bank trailer with donated product and handle loading of any other donated product as requested.
  5. Pull manuals as requested.
  6. Verify expiration dates, pull close dated product.
  7. Verify inventory in aisles as assigned.
  8. Make appropriate adjustments.
  9. Check and research problem locales.
  10. Prepare spreadsheets on staged inventory.
  11. Prepare inventory reports as assigned.
  12. Research and correct any receiving problem pallets.
  13. Create and assign new footprints to products.
  14. Work as a member of the AWG team so the total job responsibilities are met. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, associates and division management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma preferred; prior warehouse experience plus warehouse mobile equipment operating experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and speak fluent English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence relating to position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math and algebra.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Posses the ability to work with coworkers and gain mutual respect with a common goal of increasing sales and profitability.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Mobile warehouse equipment certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate safely warehouse mobile equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Indoors, with adequate cooling, heating, and adequate lighting. Outdoors as needed. Working in warehouse environment with moderate noise due to industrial mobile equipment operation and varied temperatures based on assigned work area. Temperatures will vary based on outside temperatures for the non-air-conditioned section and cool temperatures ranging from -15 to the upper 40's for the perishable sections.

This position's basic purpose is to use all available resources to assist the Distribution Department in continuous growth and financial success.
