The Utility Worker position performs maintenance and repairs of building and grounds, refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, and all related utilities maintenance throughout the facility as needed. Utility Maintenance responsibilities includes but not limited to equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative/precision maintenance and continuous improvement activities, such as increasing machine reliability and installation of facility capital investments. Candidates must be a self-starter willing to accept maintenance process responsibility and KPI results. Scheduled Hours 5:45PM - 6:15PMPosition Responsibilities may include, but not limited toMust observe and practice all Department/Plant Procedures including wearing the required PPEAdherence to plant safety, food Safety, sanitation standards, and following all GMP guidelinesMaintain working knowledge and understanding of the plant refrigeration equipmentEnsure all components of the refrigeration system are fit for use, safe and capable of operating as required by plant operations and the Process Safety Management (PSM) programKnow and understand all start up, shut down, operating procedures for safe and efficient operations of the plant refrigeration and boiler systemsMonitor the water treatment system as needed to keep boilers and refrigeration system condenser in proper operating conditionsConduct all needed preventive maintenance to assure optimum up-time operation with minimum adverse impact on operationsAssure that all systems are operated in a safe manner and that all components of the system comply with OSHA, PSM Elements and other agencies requirements Lend knowledge and ideas to the solution of problems involving the plant refrigeration and boiler systemsEnsure accurate and neat logs on the plant boiler and refrigeration systems and check machinery areas for any issues. Inform proper personnel of any potential issues Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution, and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work each dayDiagnose and repair refrigeration, steam and pneumatic systemsDiagnose, repair and overhaul pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related three phase systemsUse precision tools such as dials indicators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gaugesRead and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams and read/interpret Electrical Schematics.Promote and foster Moms Meals culture, values, and principles Required Skills and ExperienceAA in Engineering, Operations, or equivalent years of experience1 - 3 years of experience in industrial or plant operations, maintenance, utilities, or a related fieldSkilled in rigging, and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power toolsSkilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance is a plusKnowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devicesPreferred Skills and Experience480v 3 phase knowledge required.
